David Kissack took the responsibility of three aerospace projects. He worked together with colleagues to  create design criteria, quality standards, cost estimates and testing methods. He ensured adherence to projects with standard engineering principles as well as customer requirements. Apart from this, he was also in charge for resolving issues, troubleshooting and streamlining the engineering systems and processes.

Various Strategies


At Belcan, Florida; David Kissack managed hand calculation and structural analysis for gas turbine exhaust nozzle. He worked in tandem with cross-functional teams to structure and deploy product innovations and solutions. He created various strategies to ensure the optimum utilization of resources, quality assurance and process engineering. Besides this, he developed drawings and 3-D parts with PRO, and used ANSYS to conduct FEA for ejector nozzle of Pratt F100 engine.

Academic qualifications

David Kissack pursued Associate of Arts degree in Architectural CADD from, National Educational Center, Tampa Technical Institute in 1987. He received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering  from  Florida Atlantic University in 1997.  He graduated with honors, GPA= 3.78 out of 4.0. At present, he is a well-respected member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers- a professional association that supports the art, practice and science of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the world.

Professional experience

Prior to founding the Leaders in Structural Mechanical Design Engineering in Orlando group, David Kissack was Structural Engineer with Lawn Care and Fencing, Vero Beach, FL. In this capacity, he applied the South Florida Building Code to layout and evaluated structural elements for many residential fence projects. From April 2007 to January 2008, he served as Layout Engineer at Aluminum Railing Specialists, Pompano Beach whereby he undertook the responsibility for developing layout drawings to help shop manufacturing.

In addition to this, David Kissack spent six years (January 2001 to January 2007) at Siemens Energy working as Senior Engineer/Advanced Engineer. While holding this position, he supervised and monitored the engineering design and stationary parts calculation to support global modernization and upgrade of large steam turbines for power plants.  Besides, he has also held key positions at Weyant Engineering (Port St. Lucie, FL), Belcan (Jupiter, FL) and Pratt & Whitney (West Palm Beach, FL).

Hobbies and interests

Aside from being an experienced engineering professional, David Kissack is also an adventure lover who likes to involve himself in various activities such as motorcycling and skateboarding. He also has interest in flying radio controlled helicopter and writing FORTRAN programs.

A highly energetic and assiduous individual, David Kissack attended Tampa Technical Institute to pursue Associate of Arts degree in Architectural CADD. Achievements At Siemens Energy

During his 6-years stint with Siemens Energy, Florida, David Kissack was chosen to be the Technical Project Lead for two BB44FA projects. He effectively managed the design, analysis and implementation of new stationary components at Sequoyah Nuclear HP Steam Turbine Upgrade project to enhance the turbine efficiency and Megawatt output.  Moreover, he developed four unique guide blade carriers, with support and alignment hardware. The project was delivered successfully on time and met all requirements and expectations.

Aside from that, David Kissack also led the BB243PA HP/IP fossil steam turbine upgrade R&D project.  This project included the design of single inner casing to remove second IP guide blade carrier and incorporate all existing IP components into a single inner casing through KWU methodologies and materials. The project was completed on time, achieved all objectives and was sold to two customers who are using the project till date. In recognition of his exceptional performance, David Kissack was honored with two SPOT awards at Siemens Energy, Florida.
